1. OSD-860 PUR Hot Melt Machine for 5-Gallon Drums
Standard PUR drum system · 220 V · 280 mm drum diameter

The OSD-860 is designed for standard 5-gallon PUR adhesive drums with a capacity of approximately 20 kg. It operates on 220 V and has a rated power of 3,900 W, a maximum adhesive output of 20 kg/h and a maximum working pressure of 10 MPa. Its capacity and drum compatibility make it suitable for a wide range of PUR applications, particularly furniture edge banding and automotive interior wrapping.

Five-gallon drums are widely used for packaging PUR hot melt adhesive. With a diameter of 280 mm, this format is well suited to medium-volume production. The OSD-860 is engineered specifically for this drum size. Its precision-cast aluminum platen is CNC-machined to fit the drum opening with a tolerance of less than 0.1 mm. DuPont Teflon impregnation and sintering help the platen form a tight seal, limiting the adhesive’s exposure to air.

The machine can deliver up to 20 kg of adhesive per hour through one or two outlets. Its maximum working pressure of 10 MPa supports the delivery of high-viscosity PUR adhesive through narrow hoses and application heads. A variable-frequency DC motor drives the precision gear pump. A universal joint connects the motor to the pump, helping accommodate minor alignment deviations during assembly and reducing stress on the pump gears.

The OSD-860 operates at temperatures from 10 to 200°C and in ambient temperatures from 0 to 50°C. A K-type sensor provides temperature control accuracy of ±1°C. The machine uses an air pressure of 0.3–0.8 MPa to lower the platen onto the adhesive drum. It weighs approximately 200 kg and measures 1,200 × 600 × 1,650 mm. This floor-standing, cabinet-style unit also features multi-stage filtration, a high-precision pressure relief valve with ±1 bar sensitivity and a locking function, and a low-adhesive-level alarm.

In production environments, the OSD-860 is commonly integrated with furniture edge banding machines, automotive interior wrapping lines and construction material lamination equipment. When a drum is empty, the operator raises the platen, removes the used drum, positions a new one and lowers the platen. This changeover typically takes around five minutes. The low-adhesive-level alarm alerts operators when approximately 2 kg of adhesive remains, giving them time to prepare the next drum and help prevent interruptions to adhesive supply. The touchscreen supports both Chinese and English, making the English interface convenient for international users.
