Hot melt adhesive coating and laminating machines apply an even layer of adhesive to roll materials, then bond them to another layer. Typical applications include pressure-sensitive labels, nonwoven fabric lamination, PUR bonding, adhesive-backed aluminum panels, foam lamination, and footwear or leather materials.

Compared with a roller coating machine, a coating and laminating line includes unwinding and rewinding systems, tension control, and multiple temperature zones for continuous roll-to-roll production. Oushida offers configurations ranging from a 350 mm pilot-scale machine to a 1,300 mm production line.

The series includes three models:

• OSD-1300mm Coating and Laminating Machine: Wide-format production model for materials up to 1,300 mm wide, with 800 mm unwind and rewind roll diameters.
• OSD-350mm Coating and Laminating Machine: Pilot and small-batch model for materials up to 350 mm wide, with full servo control.
• OSD-PUR100mm PUR Coating Machine: Compact model designed for PUR adhesive, using a gear pump and 2 kg bagged adhesive.

All three models use a 10-inch Kunlun Tongtai touchscreen for visual parameter setting.

4.Model Selection Guide

• Choose the OSD-350mm for laboratory trials, pilot production, and small batches.
• Choose the OSD-1300mm for continuous production with materials up to 1,300 mm wide.
• Choose the OSD-PUR100mm for small-scale PUR applications using 2 kg bagged adhesive and materials up to 200 mm wide.

Electrical components can be upgraded to full servo control or other imported components according to project requirements.

5.OSD-1300mm Hot Melt Adhesive Coating and Laminating Machine

The OSD-1300mm is a wide-format roll-to-roll production line for materials up to 1,300 mm wide. It supports unwind and rewind rolls up to 800 mm in diameter, a mechanical speed of 60 m/min, and adjustable glue application from 5 to 100 g/m². Glue supply accuracy is specified at ≤5%.

The machine runs on 380 V, 50 Hz, three-phase power and has a rated power of 10 kW, excluding the glue melter. Overall dimensions are 3,242 × 2,400 × 1,850 mm.

Continuous Roll-to-Roll Coating

The 1,300 mm material width and 800 mm roll diameter support continuous processing of wide-format rolls. The 3-inch air shafts hold the rolls in place when inflated and release them when deflated, helping make roll changes faster than with conventional shafts.

The machine offers adjustable coating weight from 5 to 100 g/m² and a tension range of 10–200 N·m, as specified. These settings support different roll materials, from thin paper to thicker foam.

Industrial Controls and Components

The OSD-1300mm uses a Siemens PLC for main control and Schneider low-voltage electrical components for circuit protection. HIWIN linear guides and ball screws support coating-head movement, while NSK bearings support the rollers. Airtac cylinders operate the roller lifting and pressing functions.

Operators can set and monitor tension, speed, coating weight, and temperature for each heating zone through the 10-inch Kunlun Tongtai touchscreen. The machine is driven by an AC geared motor and requires three-phase 380 V, 50 Hz power.

The full line measures 3,242 × 2,400 × 1,850 mm. Plan for material handling and roll access at both the infeed and discharge ends, and confirm workshop access and floor capacity before installation.
